Privacy policy
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds nothing from third parties — so there is little to explain, and what there is stands here in full.

Server log files
Opening a page makes your browser send data that our web server records in a log file. This happens for every website and cannot be switched off without giving up the ability to run the server securely.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is delivering the site reliably and recognising attacks on it. The data is not merged with other sources and is not used to identify you.
The log files are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Hosting
The site runs on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server stands in Germany. Hetzner acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR and does not use the data for its own purposes.
No cookies, no tracking
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising network and no social media plug-in. Nothing you do here is measured or profiled.
The typeface is delivered from our own server. It is compiled into the site at build time, so your browser never contacts an external font service and no request reaches a third party.
Downloads and update checks
The desktop application and its updates are served from this domain. When the installed application checks for a new version, it requests a file like any browser would — so the log data described above is recorded for that request too.
The application sends no account, licence key or device identifier when it does so. We cannot tell installations apart, and we do not count them.
Contacting us
If you write to us by email, we process your address and whatever you put in the message in order to answer it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR when your request concerns a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f). We keep such correspondence for as long as the matter needs and delete it afterwards.
The email field next to the Pro plan is not in service. It accepts no input and sends nothing.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to have its processing restricted, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to the address above and we will deal with it.
You may also complain to a supervisory authority. The one responsible for us is the data protection authority of the federal state in which we are established; you may equally approach the authority where you live.
What we do not do
We do not pass your data to third parties beyond the hosting described above, do not transfer it outside the EU, and make no automated decisions about you, including profiling.
